Some of Charles Dickens' most memorable characters are recreated in this delighted continuation of his classic "Oliver Twist", told in colorful animation. The time and place is 18th-century London. The Artful Dodger, once a cunning thief, now devotes his time to rescuing small children from the greedy clutches of Bumbles , manager of the local workhouse. And Oliver, who has been adopted by the wealthy Mr. Brownlow, stands to inherit his fortune. But when Brownlow dies, the location of his will is unknown. Soon, Brownlow's wicked nephew, Sniperly, arrives to claim his uncle's money. It is discovered that the will is hidden in the drawer of some furniture sold to a man in the country - and the race is on to obtain it. Sniperly resorts to a series of treacherous tricks to stop Oliver and Dodger, but the boys prevail and find the will. And, true to his nature, Oliver uses the money to establish a new orphanage. This is classic storytelling at its very best.
